Know What We Do

Functional Medicine

By addressing root cause, rather than symptoms, practitioners become oriented to identifying the complexity of disease. They may find one condition has many different causes and, likewise, one cause may result in many different conditions. As a result, Functional Medicine treatment targets the specific manifestations of disease in each individual.

The Functional Medicine model is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness. It requires a detailed understanding of each patient’s genetic, biochemical, and lifestyle factors and leverages that data to direct personalized treatment plans that lead to improved patient outcomes.

Dr. Nicole Klersy-Mohr DC, CFMP spend time with her patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, Functional Medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.

Functional Medicine enables physicians and other health professionals to practice proactive, predictive, personalized medicine and empowers patients to take an active role in their own health.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Chiropractic adjustments or manipulations are important and should be used by a doctor who is trained to know when or when not to perform the procedure. Not all patients receive chiropractic adjustments in our office because not all people need to be adjusted at every visit.  Our main focus is your whole-body health and wellness.

Dr. Nicole believes there is a time and place for chiropractic adjustments or manipulations. She uses them as one of her many tools to aid her patients on their journey to whole-body health and wellness. Dr. Nicole assesses her patients and the integrity of their nervous system to determine the best treatment for them.

Everyone shows symptoms differently, but we all have similar structures and processes to our bodies. We look through the entire body to identify the ‘squeaky wheel’. We ‘fix it’ and get the body back to running the way it should – on its own. All without drugs and/or surgery.
